The Army
He served six and a half years in the Australian Army. It's where his story starts, and where he first saw how much small, everyday habits add up.
The drift
Then serious injuries from an armoured vehicle accident ended that chapter. Without the routine he was used to, things slipped. Nothing dramatic. Just the slow drift most people know, where the things you once did without thinking quietly stop.
Venice Beach
The turn came from somewhere unlikely. A bar, a stranger, a conversation that wasn't meant to matter. He walked out knowing what had been missing. It wasn't motivation.
Fourteen months
He went back to the small things. Every day, whether he felt like it or not. Fourteen months on, the old life was hard to recognise.
Standardry
What carried him wasn't a programme. It was a handful of standards he chose for himself, and an honest look each night at whether he'd kept them. He built Standardry so anyone can do the same, in their own way.
The standard was always there. He just forgot it for a while.
