Membership terms
Standardry is operated by Obsidian Asset Management Pty Ltd (ABN 93 693 407 180), trading as Obsidian Group (“Standardry”, “we”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Standardry. Please read them before you join.
Who can join
Standardry is for adults 18 and over. Each account is for one person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
We’re starting in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada.
Your membership
Membership is A$19.99 a month, shown in your currency at checkout, including any applicable tax. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and calculates, collects and pays the tax for your country. Checkout shows the price, the monthly renewal and any taxes before you pay. Your membership renews each month until you cancel.
Membership is A$19.99 a month, shown in your currency, including any applicable tax. Billing is handled by the store you subscribe in. The store shows the price, the monthly renewal and any taxes before you confirm. Your membership renews each month until you cancel.
New members get a 14-day free trial, once per person. We’ll remind you 2 days before your trial ends. Cancel before day 14 and pay nothing.
You can cancel at any time from Settings. If you cancel, or a renewal payment fails, you keep access until the end of the month you’ve already paid for. Cancelling doesn’t add free time, and we don’t charge for part months.
Free access we give you, such as Legacy membership for our beta members, lasts for as long as we tell you when we give it.
If the monthly price changes, we’ll tell you before your next renewal at the new price.
Refunds are handled in line with the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under it.
Your records
What you enter is yours. You’re responsible for the commitments and records you add. You can export a copy of your account from Settings at any time. You give us permission to store and process your records only so we can run Standardry for you, as the privacy notice explains.
Your Life Score
Your Life Score is the equal average of the pillars you have switched on: Tasks, Routines, Health & Wellness, Finance and Goals. Pillars you switch off don’t count. A missed commitment counts against the day it was due and stays in your history; corrections keep a record of what changed.
Your Life Score shows how you kept the commitments you set for yourself. It isn’t a measure of your worth, health or wealth.
Health, food and money
Standardry helps you plan and keep records. It doesn’t give medical, dietary or financial advice, diagnose conditions or recommend investments. Speak with a qualified professional before making changes to your health, diet or finances. Exercise carries risk, including when you walk, run or ride outdoors: choose safe routes, follow local rules and look after yourself. Miles and points information is for reference only, so check current rules and availability with the program.
The Decision Guide is a general information tool. It isn’t financial advice and doesn’t take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before you make any financial decision, seek advice from a licensed financial adviser or another qualified professional.
Trail Club and sharing
Trail Club lets you share finished walks, runs and rides with friends you invite. You choose who sees what, and you can stop sharing or remove a friend at any time. Only share with people you trust: once a friend has seen something, we can’t make them forget it. Don’t put addresses or other private details in titles or notes you share.
Accountability Partners and Trail Club friends are separate. Partners see whether you did something. Trail Club friends see the activities you choose to share.
Pausing or locking Standardry
Sometimes we need to protect you, other members or the service, for example to fix a fault or deal with a security problem. When that happens we may pause or lock Standardry, without notice, for as long as we reasonably need to.
When Standardry is paused, you can still sign in and look at your records, but nothing new can be saved. When it is locked, everyone is signed out and can’t sign in until we unlock it.
We’ll tell you what is happening in the app, and by email where we can. While Standardry is paused or locked, you can write to us at support@standardry.com. Nothing in this section limits your rights under consumer law.
Credit for downtime
If we pause or lock Standardry, we add time to your membership to make up for it. We do this automatically. You don’t need to ask.
We count the time from when we paused or locked Standardry until we turned it back on, and round it up to whole days. A lock of five minutes counts as one day. We add those days to your current billing period and tell you how many we added.
If you pay by card on our website, we move your next payment date later by those days. If you pay through Apple or Google, we ask them to move your next renewal date later. They decide whether they can. If they can’t, we’ll look into it and put it right. Write to us at support@standardry.com.
We add the credit to your membership. Billing is handled by the store you subscribe in. We ask the store to move your next renewal date later. The store decides whether it can. If it can’t, we’ll look into it and put it right. Write to us at support@standardry.com.
Free access, such as Legacy membership, has no payment date to move, so it doesn’t get a credit.
The credit is time, not money. It can’t be swapped for cash.
Refunds for downtime: in a serious or long interruption, we may also choose to refund part of what you paid, worked out by the day. This is our choice, it is not automatic, and it only applies to card payments made on our website. If you pay through Apple or Google, they handle refunds under their own rules. This doesn’t limit your rights under consumer law.

Discount codes
A discount code may give you a percentage off, an amount off, or extra free trial days. It may apply to your first payment, for a set number of months, or for as long as you stay a member. The code or the offer tells you which.
You can use one discount at a time. A code has no cash value and can’t be swapped for money.
Codes work only for card payments on our website, so you can’t use one with a subscription you pay for through Apple or Google. Codes are for members in the countries we serve.
Discount codes aren’t used with a subscription billed by the store. Codes are for members in the countries we serve.
We can stop a code from being used by new members at any time. If you have already applied a code, you keep the discount for the length it stated when you applied it.
Accountability Partners
Accountability Partners are optional. You choose who your partners are and which areas each one can see. Partners see whether you met or missed what you shared. The privacy notice explains exactly what they can and can’t see.
If you remove a partner, we stop sharing with them. They can’t see anything new.
Your username
You choose a username. It is how your Accountability Partners and Trail Club friends find and recognise you. Nobody can search for it: only someone who types it exactly can send you a request, and you decide whether to accept. Your email address is never shown to them.
Choose a name that is yours. Don’t use a name that is offensive, that pretends to be another person or Standardry, or that is reserved. We may refuse, change or remove a username that breaks this. You can change your username once every 30 days.
Using Standardry fairly
Use Standardry lawfully. Don’t try to access other members’ information, interfere with the service or use it to harass anyone. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Closing your account
You can close your account from Settings at any time. You can restore it within 365 days of closing it. After that, it is deleted permanently, as the privacy notice explains. You can also ask us to delete your account and we will. Email support@standardry.com.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Standardry changes. We’ll tell you about important changes in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
Contact and governing law
Questions about these terms: support@standardry.com. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. If you live somewhere else, the consumer protections that your own country’s law gives you still apply and are not taken away by this clause.
Privacy notice
This notice explains what Standardry collects, why, who can see it and the choices you have. Standardry is operated by Obsidian Asset Management Pty Ltd (ABN 93 693 407 180), trading as Obsidian Group. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you live in Canada or a US state with a health-data privacy law, extra sections near the end explain your rights too.
Who we are and how to reach us
We are Obsidian Asset Management Pty Ltd (ABN 93 693 407 180), trading as Obsidian Group, in South Australia. We decide why and how your information is used, which makes us the “controller” or “responsible organisation” for it. Our Privacy Officer is reached at support@standardry.com. Please write to that address for any privacy question, request or complaint.
What we collect
Your account details: your name, email address and password (stored only in scrambled form), your date of birth (to confirm you’re 18 and over), your country, which sets your currency, units and date format, your time zone and the preferences you choose.
Your username, and the names you have held in the last 30 days (so nobody else can take your old name while you can still switch back). If you choose, your first name is shown beside it to your partners and friends.
The records you add: habits, routines, goals, workouts, Nutrition logs, Finance entries, journal entries, notes and similar.
Your membership status from Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Runs, walks and rides. If you start a run in the Standardry app, the app uses your phone’s precise location while the run is in progress, including with the screen off, to measure distance and pace and to draw your route. Your route, distance, time and pace are saved with that workout and are private to you unless you choose to share it in Trail Club (see “Trail Club”). They are deleted when you delete the run or your account. Maps are drawn by Apple Maps (iPhone) and Google Maps (Android), which receive the part of the map being shown. We never share your location with your Accountability Partners, who only ever see whether you did a workout. You choose whether to save the route, in Settings → Run settings.
Trail Club: your friends list, the sharing choices you make, and the finished activities you choose to share (see “Trail Club”).
Your notification address: if you allow notifications on your phone, Apple (iPhone) or Google (Android) gives us a code that lets us send notifications to that phone. We keep it with your account until you turn notifications off, sign out of that phone or delete your account.
Outside a run, your approximate city, worked out from your internet connection while you use the app, rounded to about 10 km. We keep only your most recent city. It appears only as a dot on our private member map, so we can see where members are.
Feedback you send us, together with the star rating if you give one, the screen you sent it from, your type of device and the app version, so we can fix things.
How often you open Standardry, counted only so we can ask for your feedback now and then, and your Guided tips choices (which tips you have hidden). Both are saved with your account. You can turn the feedback request off in the Feedback form and the tips off in Settings → Guided tips.
When you choose a password, we check it against a list of passwords exposed in data breaches. Only the first five characters of a one-way code of the password are sent to haveibeenpwned.com, which cannot tell who you are or what the password is. If the check can’t be reached, your password is accepted.
What we need to keep you signed in and the service safe: a secure session cookie, a list of the devices you’re signed in on (so you can sign them out), and a history of changes to your records. To protect sign-in from misuse, we briefly count requests from each internet address and sign-in attempts for each email address. These counts are cleared within 15 minutes.
Why we use it
To run your account, show your progress and Life Score, send account emails and the in-app and phone notifications you’ve switched on, manage your membership, share what you ask us to share, answer your feedback, and keep Standardry secure and working. We don’t sell your information, show you advertising, use it to profile you, or use AI to analyse your records. We don’t make decisions about you by computer that have legal or similar effects.
Crash and error reports (optional)
If you switch on Settings → Crash & error reports, when something goes wrong in Standardry we receive the error and its technical details, the screen it happened on, the app version, and whether you were using the website, the Android app or the iPhone app, with your device type. These reports never include what you typed, your health data, money amounts or notes. They are used only to fix problems and are deleted after 90 days. You can switch this off at any time.
How people find and join Standardry
When someone visits our website, we count which steps they reach (the home page, the sign-up page, starting the form and creating an account) and any messages they see along the way, such as a missing date of birth. Visitors are counted with a random number kept only in that browser tab. We don’t use cookies for this, and we don’t record names, emails or locations.
For members, we record the same kind of steps through setup, such as choosing pillars and finishing setup, so we can help anyone who gets stuck. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Health information
Health details such as height, weight, sex assigned at birth (used only for estimates), steps, sleep, water and workouts are sensitive information. We only record them after you agree, using a separate tick box that explains what we collect and why. You can withdraw that agreement and delete your health data separately at any time from Settings. We use your health information only to show it back to you and to work out your own totals and estimates. We never sell it, use it for advertising, or give it to anyone to use for their own purposes.
Trail Club
Standardry Trail Club lets you share finished activities with friends. Nothing is live: a friend can see an activity only after you have finished and saved it and the delay you chose has passed (30 minutes unless you change it). Sharing is your choice for each friend and each activity. A friend can only see the details you allow, which can include the type, date, distance, time, pace, elevation and a map. Before a map is shared we cut off about 250 to 600 metres from the start and the end, so a friend never sees exactly where you set off or finished. The full route stays private to you.
Friends are connected only by invitation, in both directions. You can remove or hide a friend at any time, and everything they could see is hidden straight away. You can delete a shared activity and it disappears for friends too. We don’t offer public profiles, heat maps or rankings of strangers.
Notifications
If you switch on notifications, we send short messages to your phone, for example a nudge from a partner, progress toward a steps or hydration goal, or a routine reminder. To do this the message passes through Apple’s notification service (iPhone) or Google’s (Android), which see the message and your notification address. We don’t use notifications for advertising. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings or in Standardry.
What we can see
To run Standardry, we can see your name, email address, membership, when you last used Standardry, your approximate city, how far you got through setup and any feedback you send. We don’t look at your private records, such as your health, Nutrition, Finance or journal entries, or your run routes.
What Accountability Partners see
Partners are optional. If you add one, they only see the areas you choose to share. For a shared item, they see whether you completed it or missed it, and the name of a shared workout or health measure (such as daily steps). They never see amounts, food details, money figures, notes, your journal, your location or your Life Score. If you remove a partner, we stop sharing with them straight away.
Usernames
Your username is shown to the partners and Trail Club friends you connect with, and to anyone you give it to who then types it in to send you a request. There is no search and no list of members, so nobody can browse for you. Your email address and member number are never shown. Your first name is shown beside your username only if you switch on “Show my name” in Settings → Username.
You can change your username once every 30 days. The name you leave is kept for you for 30 days, then freed. Your username is deleted with your account.
Inviting friends to Standardry
You can ask us to send a friend one email inviting them to Standardry. You give us their first name and email address. We use them only to send that one email, which says you invited them and has links to the app stores. We don’t keep the name or the address. We keep a one-way fingerprint of the address, which can’t be turned back into it, so that we send at most one invitation to an address in 30 days and never email someone who asked us to stop. Every invitation has a link to tell us not to send any more.
Foods you add
Foods you add yourself are private to your account. We may review them and add the food’s name, brand and nutrition details to the shared food list for all members. We never include who added it.
If you send us a food you can’t find, we see the name, brand, shop and details you send, so we can find its nutrition. Searches that find nothing are counted by their words only, never with your name.
On your device
When you scan a receipt or a nutrition label, your phone reads the text on the device. The picture is not uploaded or saved, and only the text you confirm is stored.
Some features keep things on your device, such as screen preferences, recovery drafts and an offline trip copy. These stay on that device, and you can clear them there.
Your bank and connected services
Standardry doesn’t connect to your bank.
You can choose to connect Apple Health (in the iPhone app) or Health Connect (in the Android app). Standardry then reads only the categories you allow: steps, active calories, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and weight, keeps them up to date automatically while you use the app, and never writes anything back. You can disconnect in Settings → Connected services at any time; your imported history stays private. Connections to Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook aren’t available yet. When they are, they’ll be optional and read-only.
Cookies
Standardry uses one cookie, a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service to work. We don’t use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and we don’t let advertisers or data brokers see anything.
Who helps us run Standardry
Cloudflare hosts Standardry, stores your records in its Oceania region and sends our account emails, such as invites and password resets. Stripe handles membership payments as the merchant of record and keeps its own payment records under its privacy policy. Apple (iPhone) and Google (Android) deliver notifications. Emails you send to our contact address are received through Google Workspace. When you use run mode, Apple Maps (iPhone) or Google Maps (Android) draws the map and receives the part of the map being shown. The service haveibeenpwned.com receives the short code described above when you choose a password. These providers act for us or for you under their own terms. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Sending information overseas
Your records are stored in Cloudflare’s Oceania region, in Australia. Some of our providers handle information in the United States and other countries: Stripe (payments), Apple and Google (notifications and maps), Google (our email), and Cloudflare (which runs the network the service uses). We choose providers that protect information to a standard like ours, but their local laws may let authorities there ask for it. If you live in Canada, your information is therefore handled outside your country. See the Canada section below.
Keeping and deleting your information
You can export your account at any time from Settings. If you close your account, you’re signed out everywhere straight away, Accountability Partner and Trail Club sharing stops, and you can restore the account within 365 days. After 365 days, your account and everything stored with it are deleted permanently and can’t be restored. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days after that. Foods already added to the shared food list stay there without your name. Stripe may keep its own payment records. You can also ask us to delete your account and we will. Email support@standardry.com.
Discount codes: if you use a code, we keep a record of which code, when you applied it and how long it lasts, with your account. We use it to apply the discount and to stop a code being used twice.
Other time limits: sign-up and setup records and crash reports are deleted after 90 days; notification records after 7 days; the sign-in request counts within 15 minutes. You can delete a run, a shared activity or your health data on its own at any time.
Keeping your information safe
We protect your information with sign-in protection, encryption in transit, limited access for our staff, regular backups and the checks described above. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the regulator that applies to you (for example the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner) as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
Whoever you are, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave, such as for health information. You can do most of this yourself in the app (Settings → Your data). For anything else, write to us and we’ll reply within 30 days.
In Australia you can also ask us for access to or correction of your personal information under the Privacy Act. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). In New Zealand you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz). Our address for all requests is support@standardry.com.
Children
Standardry is for adults aged 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth when you join and don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
If you live in Canada
We follow Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and, in Quebec, Law 25. We are responsible for the personal information in our care and have a Privacy Officer who can be reached at support@standardry.com.
We collect personal information for the purposes in this notice, with your consent. We ask for your express consent before we collect health information and your location during a run. You can withdraw consent at any time, though some features may then stop working. We keep information only as long as described above.
Your information is stored in Australia and handled by providers in the United States. Those countries’ laws may allow their authorities to access it. You can ask us for access to or correction of your information, and for details of the providers we use. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
We will tell you and the regulator about a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm.
Consumer health data (Washington and other US states)
This section is our consumer health data privacy policy for people in Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and other US states with health-data privacy laws.
What we collect, and why: the health information you enter or connect (height, weight, sex assigned at birth, steps, sleep, water, heart rate readings, workouts, Nutrition logs and your location during a run). We collect it from you and, if you choose, from Apple Health or Health Connect on your phone. We use it only to show it back to you, work out your totals and estimates, and provide the features you use. We collect it only with your consent, which you give with a separate tick box in the app. We ask for separate consent before we share it for any reason other than providing Standardry to you, and we have no such use.
Who it is shared with: only the service providers that run Standardry for us (Cloudflare for hosting and storage) and, if you choose to share, the Accountability Partners and Trail Club friends you pick. Partners see only whether you did something, not your readings. We do not sell consumer health data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights: you can confirm whether we collect your consumer health data and see it, withdraw your consent, and have it deleted, including copies held by the providers we use. Most of this is in Settings → Your data. You can also email us. We’ll respond within 45 days. If we turn down a request you can appeal by replying to our answer within a reasonable time. We’ll answer your appeal within 45 days and, if we still decline, explain how to contact your state’s Attorney General.
If something goes wrong with your information
If we find out that your personal information has been lost, or seen or taken by someone who should not have it, we will look into it quickly.
If it affects your information, we’ll tell you in the app and by email, as soon as we reasonably can. We won’t wait for every detail. Where the law says we must tell a regulator, we will tell them too.
Our message will say what happened, what information was involved, what we have done and what you can do. We will never ask you for your password or payment details in one of these messages.
We keep an incident log. It records who on our team paused or locked Standardry and when, the reason they gave, what we did, how many members were affected, any credit or refund, and who we told and when. It can include technical details such as error messages, dates and times, internet addresses and account identifiers. We use it only to find the cause, protect members, meet the law and show regulators what we did. We never use it for advertising and we never sell it.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as Standardry changes. We’ll tell you about important changes in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
Contact and complaints
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact support@standardry.com. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the regulator for where you live: the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz), the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or your state’s Attorney General in the US.
